Hello everyone, we are the editorial team of DAZ, our dormitory's newspaper!
What's our purpose? We capture village life for you and put it on paper. From the initial idea to writing and design to the finished publication – we take care of everything.
What do you get out of it? The DAZ is your platform and information point. It provides you with:
- News & Events: Stay up to date with what's happening in the student village and in Göttingen.
- Creative contributions: Share your stories, poems, photos, or drawings with everyone.
- Entertainment: Look forward to puzzles, recipes, and exciting articles.
How can you participate? The best ideas come from our readers! If you would like to suggest a topic, report on an event, or get creative yourself, you've come to the right place. Your contributions are the heart of the DAZ.

Why should you join us? Because it's fun to be creative and actively shape village life! You can implement your own ideas, meet new people, and gain valuable experience for your resume – especially in the creative or journalistic field.
What skills should you have? Above all, creativity, team spirit, and reliability. Previous experience in writing or design (we use Canva) is great, but not a must. We will train you comprehensively and show you everything you need to know.
What is the reward for the effort? Your commitment is worthwhile. For an investment of approximately two hours per week you get:
- An expense allowance of 26€ per month.
- An additional semester extension of residency.
How do you get the job? The two editorial positions are filled at the end of each semester. Interested parties can introduce themselves at the village assembly (DV) and are then elected by the assembled house representatives.
