Hello dear villagers!
We are your IT tutorial – perhaps better known in other dormitories as the Internet or network tutorial. Our main task is to manage and maintain the entire IT infrastructure in the village.
This means, for example, that we take care of the website, manage the email addresses for the other tutorials, supervise the washing machine rooms, and much more!
In short: we know our way around computers pretty well. So if you have any questions about software problems, the network sockets in your apartments, or anything similar, you've come to the right place.
Internet access in the village is now managed by the Studentenwerk, not directly by us. However, if you have any problems with the Internet (LAN and/or Wi-Fi) or suggestions, please feel free to come to us—we will be happy to help you!
The best way to reach us is via our email address: edv@dorfgoe.de
Would you like to become an IT tutor at the Student Village?
Don't be discouraged if you're not very familiar with computers at the moment!
Prior knowledge of networks, server technology, Linux, or programming is of course welcome – but not a prerequisite. What's more important is that you're interested in these topics and eager to learn new things. The time commitment is about 1–2 hours per week.
As part of the internet tutorial, you will not only gain exciting insights into the technology behind the village—you will also be involved in one of the most influential tutorials!
In addition, as an IT tutor, you will receive €26 per month (during the semester) and, if you serve for two semesters, two additional semesters of accommodation in the village.
Interested? Then please contact us in advance so that we can show you everything at your leisure. That way, you won't be thrown in at the deep end after being elected as the next IT tutor.
